Regulation and format

RMR Americas is played in Swiss format, which means that the switching will always have clashes between teams with identical campaigns (teams with 1 victory and 1 loss, for example), until the six ranked Rio de Janeiro are defined.

Initial clashes are always defined from the Seeds (key heads) of each team, and the system also defines the intersections between teams from the second round. Classification games (to reach 3rd victory) and eliminator (3rd defeat) are always in MD3 format, while other games follow the MD1 format.

To automatically qualify, a team must have a campaign of 3 wins and defeat or 3 wins and 1 losses, while teams that reach 3 losses are eliminated.

As the RMR of America only gives a place to Legends Stage, the major key of the major, the two teams with campaigns of 3 wins and the defeat are in a MD3 series to define who advances directly to Legends.

Among the three teams with 3 wins and 2 losses, there will be two tieeakers MD3 clashes to define who gets the sixth and last vacancy. The first happens between the 7th and 8th place, and the winner faces 6th place. As it is three teams with identical campaigns, the order of these key heads is defined by the Scholz system, which means that the team that has won the strongest opponents, according to the Seeds System, will need to dispute only one MD3, while 7th and 8th places will need to win two MD3 to stay with the last vacancy at Major

  • 2nd and 3rd place-challengers stage (with challenger status, seeds higher)
